O.T. Baby

Hello all. Today started out pretty crappy. As I was on my way out of the station this morning I got hit with overtime. It is awesome money but I would rather be home with the kids. So I am still at work, and have a ton of things to do at home. But my day did get better. We were really busy today. Actually it all started last night. I was on the Ambulance yesterday and we got a call early in the evening. Initially it was an unknown medical. When we arrived on scene it turned out to be a man who had burns all over his right hand. It doesn't sound like much, but when you consider how he got the burns, it is amazing he is still alive. The guy was doing who electrical work when he was hit by an arc from a 480 volt set of prongs. What saved the guy is all of the safety traing he had. He did everything he was taught and it kept the current from crossing his heart.

Today was pretty slow on calls but we had some really good training. We did some Confined Space work most of the day. It was really nice to get out of the station and work on some skills we don't do very often.

Again the weather is great and the kids are doing very well. They can't wait for me to get home so we can get out and play. I have to get back to work for now. I have had some people ask me to add so pics of the last fire I was on so I will do that later tonight.
