Too nice outside

Today is a beautiful day. Not a cloud in the sky and the temp is right around 75 degrees. It is too nice to be stuck here at work. Not too much excitement at work today, just the normal station chores so far. I can't wait to get off work tomorrow morning. This weekend I hope to take the family down to the Gulkana River to do some fishing. This will be the first time I take my son fishing, and I can't wait to see how he reacts. He has gone to the lake with us a few times for picnics and such, and just loves being outside. Hopefully we will have good luck. My daughter loves to fish but I doubt she will get to put a line in the water. The Kings are running now and they are just too big for her to handle. The average fish being landed down there run about 50 -60 lbs. At 4 years old they would probably just pull her in or she will lose the rod all together. I will however let her "help" me land them.

I briefly spoke to my wife this morning and everyone is doing well. They don't have much planned for today, just enjoying the nice weather. Maxi, our dog ( we have 2, both English Mastiffs ) is fully recovered. She was very sick last week and we thought we might lose her. She is starting to put weight back on so we are happy.
